Curriculum development
Global Research Enrichment and Technopreneurship (GREAT)
GREAT is a 4-Year undergraduate programme that aims to nurture students who are interested in pursuing a career in scientific research or starting business ventures. Students in this programme will perform independent research commencing as early as in Year 2 and are mentored by by world renowned researchers. Special courses on entrepreneurship & IP rights protection, patent application and research proposal / business plan development are available. The students are required to spend at least one semester of overseas academic/research exchange and at least two summer placements in local and overseas research laboratories or technological startup companies. This programme is supported by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI), through providing mentorship and internship opportunities for the students.
